Become a PMPN Professional Meeting Manager

Professional Meeting Planners Network (PMPN) maintains the three premier networks for meeting managers who wish to work in the medical education field. They are:

    PMPN Meeting Manager Planner Network
    PMPN Audiovisual Network (AVNS)
PMPN Auxiliary Meeting Personnel Network (AMP)
    (Junior meeting managers)

When you become a member, you join over 1000+ professional meeting managers nationwide who have access to our online job board.

Membership in our networks gives you access to a proprietary listing of hundreds of jobs without the overhead costs that come with marketing your own business. Here, you may accept any job for which you are available.

Complete the linked form to apply to PMPN. If you would like to apply to both PMPN and AVNS, please fill out both applications. If you are applying to AMP, please fill out the PMPN application and specify "AMP" in the how you heard about us section. PMPN Meeting Manager Application Form

Member Requirements

To be a member of either PMPN or AVNS, you must have at least five years of verifiable meeting or event planning experience. You must also have and maintain current knowledge of all compliance guidelines that apply to the medical education industry.

Members of our Audiovisual Network, AVNS, are required to transport basic Audio-Visual (AV) equipment to the venue, set it up, and then disassemble it when the meeting ends, in addition to managing the meeting. We provide you with training and 24/7 technical support.

Our AMP network is specifically for more junior meeting professionals - those with fewer than five years of experience in the meetings or events industry - and is a great way to gain experience in the meetings industry.

Conflicts of Interest

Because many of our clients are in the medical industry, we must avoid any conflicts of interest. You cannot be a member of a PMPN network if you are a current employee or a long-term consultant of/with a pharmaceutical, bio-tech, medical communications or medical education company, or have been one within the last 12 months. Contact Us.

Application Process

To become a member of PMPN, please fill out the online application on this website. Be sure that your resume details your meeting or events responsibilities at each position you have held.

After you submit your application, our internal staff will review it. Applications are processed as they are received. Due to the large volume of applications we receive please allow at least 2-4 weeks for us to process your application. If your application meets our qualifications, we will contact you for a phone interview and we will call your references.

Please be aware that we also consider the number of network members in geographical areas. Qualified applicants are not always accepted if a sufficient number of network members already service the area.

Complete the linked form to apply to PMPN. If you would like to apply to both PMPN and AVNS, please fill out both applications. If you are applying to AMP, please fill out the PMPN application and specify "AMP" in the "How you heard about us" section. PMPN Meeting Manager Application Form

When you are accepted to a PMPN network, you will receive a comprehensive Reference Guide detailing PMPN guidelines and policies. We also require you to complete an IRS Form W-9 and other applicable forms.
