PMPN Executive Bios

James Montague, Owner and Chairman of Professional Meeting Planners Network (PMPN). His duties include the general oversight management for PMPN, as well as responsibility for Client Services, Planner Network Services and other professional meeting and medical meeting operational activities. He also directs PMPN’s new business development activities.

Montague served on PMPN’s Strategic Advisory Board for two years before joining the company as Chief Operation Officer in January 2002. In his capacity as Vice President for Branch Banking and Trust Company (BB&T) in Durham, NC, he met and became an active advisor to Rod and Beverly Abraham, the founders and former owners of PMPN. Before his 10 years in banking, Montague attended Elon University where he graduated in the honors program, with a degree in Business Management.

Active in community affairs, James Montague is a past Treasurer of the Durham Urban Ministries Homeless Shelter and continues to serve as a volunteer to the organization. A member of several industry groups including Healthcare Marketing & Communications Council (HMC) and the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (ACME) as well as Meeting Professional International (MPI), he was also selected to participate in the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Durham Program.



Lisa McNutt, Vice President of Operations for Professional Meeting Planners Network (PMPN). Responsible for daily office professional meeting and medical meeting operations, including managing the Client Services and Finance. McNutt joined the PMPN family in 2002 as Business Manager and was quickly promoted to Vice President of Operations. She joined us from the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she learned many of the nuances of customer service and accounting. Lisa McNutt currently serves on the Marketing and Public Relations Committee for the local Carolinas Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.
